Controversy at the Washington National Cathedral
How should believers approach immigration from a biblical perspective? Compassion and justice are key, but so is obedience to the law. In a complex world, we’re called to reflect God’s heart—loving the vulnerable while upholding what is right. Let’s seek His wisdom together. 🙏 #FaithAndJustice #Immigration"
What Really Lasts When Everything Falls Apart
"The wildfires in California are a harsh reminder of how fragile life can be. We pour so much of ourselves into building a life, a home, and a future, only to see it all swept away in an instant. But Jesus’ words in Matthew 6 challenge us to think beyond the here and now: to store up treasures in heaven where fire, thieves, and time can’t touch what truly matters. When we invest in faith, love, and community, we anchor ourselves to something eternal—something no wildfire can destroy."
My Zulu Jesus
I never expected a simple question at a YFC meeting—“What’s your favorite Christmas ornament?”—to lead me back to a small, handcrafted Zulu nativity set resting on a little table in my living room. It’s just three figures—a dad, a mom, and their baby—yet somehow this tiny set carries a sense of the whole world drawn into one familiar story. I’m still amazed by how much it makes me think, and I’m also crossing my fingers my Goldendoodle won’t decide it’s a chewy new toy.
